Talan did get a few cool things for Easter, though. Grandma and Grandpa bought him a spiderman that rides on a bump n' go four wheeler. It's pretty cool! It drives around and when it bumps into a wall, chair, foot, etc. it redirects and zooms away in another direction. Talan just mostly stares at it for awhile then he tries to grab it. When he does so, it usually bumps into his hand and drives away before he can grab it. It's probably pretty frustrating for Talan...
Talan also got a few easter eggs with Little People in them. One of them is dressed up as the easter bunny and came with a little chicken. Talan likes to walk around with the Chicken and everytime he puts it in his mouth, I make a clucking noise. He thinks this is hilarious. He giggles and giggles.
He also got some of those plastic eggs with hotwheels in them. Cars and trucks are definitely his favorite toys to play with lately. He drives them around on thengs and people making a little vroom noise or sometimes even singing while he drives...I wonder where he got that from? We got him a little hotwheels ramp that launches the cars up over some plastic flames or through a loop. He thinks it's pretty funny too. He likes to stand at the end where the cars are being shot, which makes me a little nervous that they may hit him but none has yet. Luckily they fly low and he is standing, not sitting.
We had a barbeque at Talans great grandparents house on Sunday and a bunch of my cousins were there. Talan got a few slivers from the wood porch in his hand. He held still really well for Grandpa to take them out. He only fussed a bit from having his hand held still. Part of that was probably from having some weirdlooking tools (tweezers and a pin) coming at him plus having Mom right there in his face...all in all he did much better than I would have expected.
*As a side note...there is no way to keep a bandaid on a toddlers little hand for more than 2 minutes without the aid of duct tape or liquid cement (not that I would ever use either of these methods). ;)
