Talan is one year old today! Boy how time flies! We had a great party for him. My grandparents were there along with my parents and my sister Jacqui. We had a fire engine cake, balloons, streamers and a firemans hat for Talan. We had the party at my parents house. Talan LOVED the balloons! He played with them all day.
Talan got an alphabet puzzle, a little people racecar set and a castle set from John and I. He got a really cute outfit from my parent's and Jacqui (the camo one below). He liked the car because he could push a button to make it make sounds and drive. He kept making it drive in the castle door (Like the castle was a garage). ;)
Aunt Jacqui and I made this firetruck cake. Talan really didn't get too messy when he got into his cake. He grabbed the wheels a bit, fed John some frosting but wouldn't eat it himself until Grandma put some in his mouth. Then he took one big bite of frosting. After that he got a fork off of the table to poke into the cake. He kind of used the fork to paint frosting onto his leg. He got to the point where he was done and wanted John to pick him up. John held him out like he was a bomb or something! Then it was into the bath...see the nice pinkish water?
